The GLYDE Story
GLYDE Architectural Acoustic Systems design and distribute a collection of acoustic sliding door systems, operable wall systems, decorative screens, and single glazed door systems.
GLYDE launched our Acoustic Slider in late 2019 and the system quickly became a favourite with architects designing flexible, collaborative learning and working spaces.
The sliding door system was soon followed by Optica, an innovative collection of acoustic operable walls, and GLYDE Decorative Screens.
GLYDE systems deliver smooth and safe operations. They were designed to meet the needs of future learning while overcoming the limitations of other systems in the market. GLYDE systems meet stringent DDA requirements and have industry-leading acoustic performance credentials.

Founded in 1996 by Jim Gallagher, Aluminium Industries of Australia Pty Ltd (Ai) remains privately owned today.
Driven by a “what’s next” vision and long-term planning, the organization has grown through the years to include several separate, yet connected brands: GLYDE Architectural Acoustic Systems, Pivotech shower screens and wardrobes, aiFAB custom fabrication, and Comtruk. Each is a leading brand in its specific market with innovative products, onsite IP, and customer service.
