Easy operation, integrated compliance
We designed Calme with a focus on flexibility, acoustic performance, safety, ease of use, and compliance. It perfectly aligns with modern learning needs by creating adaptable spaces, reducing noise, ensuring accessibility (DDA), and providing visual connection, all while meeting strict educational standards.
Calme is a bottom-rolling acoustic slider designed for SINSW pattern book layouts (School Infrastructure NSW pattern book configurations), ideal for open-plan classrooms and collaborative zones.
Calme sliders directly support the design principles of flexible, student-centred learning environments that prioritise comfort and focus.
Calme bottom rolling acoustic sliders facilitate the creation of “learning commons” or multi-purpose zones by allowing easy division and connection of spaces.
The practical features of Calme include flush floor tracks, narrow profiles, and quality Australian manufacturing, and long lasting, high quality performance.
Calme offers easy operation with anti-slam brakes, an anti-jump system, and optional dampener on opening. They are safe and accessible for students and staff.
Calme was engineered exclusively to meet designed for SINSW pattern book layouts and configurations.

GLYDE Architectural Acoustic Systems

Our patented GASS safely slows large sliders prior to reaching the closing jamb, reducing the risk of finger entrapment while ensuring the doors are easy to operate.

The GLYDE team designed the Calme system exclusively for the SINSW Pattern Book layouts and configurations. Talk to GLYDE to learn how Calme balances standard systems with site-specific requirements, allowing for creativity within the limitations. Calme is a fantastic choice for General Learning Spaces (GLS), Specialist Learning Units (SLU), libraries, canteens, and study hubs.

Calme’s anti-jump and anti-slam features significantly enhance sliding door safety by preventing the door panels from derailing (anti-jump) and eliminating the hazards associated with forceful or sudden closures (anti-slam). Calme’s anti-jump mechanism ensures the door panels stay securely within the track system, preventing them from falling off the track, which could cause severe injury or damage.

All handles are DDA compliant.
Consult with the GLYDE Team for alternative hardware requirements.
Compatible with the following substrates:
Minimal structural requirements due to slider mass being taken by floor.
More flexibility with timing of installation.
Integrated Anti-jump device to prevent derailment.
Floor track compatible with all finished floor types:
Can be direct fixed or rebated into substrate.
No exposed fixings and anti-slip surface.
The GLYDE Anti-Slam System (GASS) slows down the door before it reaches the receiving jamb. No smashed fingers. No slammed doors. The ultra-safe Sereine Sliders are a smart, safe solution for education projects.
The GLYDE team puts safety first with every system. Our engineers incorporated built-in dampeners to make it ultra-safe when users are opening and closing the doors.

No, Calme’s rollers can’t come off the tracks. and yes, Calme does feature the GLYDE Anti-Slam System our Classique sliders also use.
Calme bottom roller suite incorporates a unique anti-jump mechanism and is retained in the head, the panels cannot fall.
All our slider systems include our GLYDE Anti Slam System (GASS) proven safety braking mechanism. Combined, these features are unique in the Acoustic Slider industry.
GLYDE offers Top Hung Classique, requires no floor track, and Bottom Roller Sereine and Bottom Roller Calme, do use a floor track. You can choose which system will best meet the needs of your project.
The advantage of a top hung system is no bottom floor track required. This gives a seamless flow and ensures no trip or access issues. Longevity of the systems benefit as there is no potential damage or wear to a floor track system.
Disadvantage of a top hung acoustic sliding door system is that structural overhead support is required. This may create challenges in refurbishment projects or add costs to new builds. The Sereine bottom roller system solves both these challenges.
Yes.
GLYDE’s default specification ensures compliance for operating force and circulation requirements, such as handle positioning. We advise you of suitable configurations and panel sizing and weights to comply during design consultations.
When our team is advised DDA compliance is not required, we can adjust specifications and advise of configurations.
Yes.
Our acoustic sliders offer a wide variety of configurations in both formats. We can even incorporate glazed and solid sections in the same panel.
Talk to our team to learn how to specify a sliding door system that features glass and solid panels and/or sections within the same panel.
